Shop Settings

Settings configure the behaviour of your shop and contain general information about your business and your services. This page explains all the configurational settings of a Tixys shop.

Free vs. Premium

Some of the settings are only available in the “Premium“ version.

General

Shop nameThe name of your shop, as shown to your customers.
Active languagesAll languages available to customers.
Primary languageThe default language of your shop. The home page of your booking area will open in this language by default.
CurrencyAll ticket prices will be displayed, and all payments will be received, in this currency. (Note: Depending on the payment method, the customer may be able to pay in a different currency, in which case the payment service provider will perform a currency exchange.)
TimezoneThe default timezone of your shop. However, this timezone refers only to time stamps shown in the administration area. Timezones for departure/arrival times are linked to the respective station.
Shop visibilityWhether or not your shop will be available to customers. Useful to make your shop “private” until everything is set up.

Company

Company nameThe full, legal name of your company.
Street, Street numberThe street and number of your company.
ZIP code, CityThe ZIP code and place of your company.
CountryThe country of your company.
Phone numberA phone numbers where customers can call for support with bookings.
E-mail address for customersAn e-mail address which customers can write to for support with bookings.
Company websiteAfter the booking process is finished, Tixys will show your website URL.
Tax numberYour official tax number, as assigned to your company. This will be printed on each ticket, which is a legal requirement in some countries.
Company register bodyThe local authority or register which is responsible for your company. This will be printed on each ticket, which is a legal requirement in some countries.
Company register IDThe registration ID of your company in the register body. This will be printed on each ticket, which is a legal requirement in some countries.
E-mail address for invoicesTixys will send the invoices for your usage of our platform to this address.

Booking

Rounding precisionRounding steps for prices calculated by the platform, especially when using yield management rules.
Rounding methodRounding method (up, down, arithmetic) for the rounding algorithm.
Tariff sortingWhen utilisation-based discounts are granted, Tixys can either apply the first (and highest) discounts to the more expensive tariffs, or vice versa.
Extra fieldsTixys collects as few data as possible from customers, but is able to collect additional information from customers where neccessary.
Booking notification e-mailIf you wish to receive an e-mail for each booking, you can enter the e-mail address here. Please keep in mind that a copy of the booking mail will be sent to this address, so make sure that the recipient is trustworthy.

Payment methods

PayPal: ModeSets the payment process to “testing” or “live” mode. In “testing” mode, you will work with demo accounts, and no real money will be transferred.
PayPal: PayPal accountThe e-mail address of the PayPal account that should receive payments.
PayPal: API permissionIn order to be able to start a payment on your behalf, you must grant us a so-called API permission.
TeleCash: ModeSets the payment process to “testing” or “live” mode. In “testing” mode, you will work with demo accounts, and no real money will be transferred.
TeleCash: Store IDThis is a special number TeleCash will send you. It is used to identify your TeleCash account.
TeleCash: Shared SecretThis is a special code TeleCash will send you. It is used to generate a “fingerprint” of payment data so that they cannot be altered by a malicious user.
TeleCash: Offered MethodsSelect the payment methods which will be offered to your customers. The selected methods must be activated in your contract.
DocData: ModeSets the payment process to “testing” or “live” mode. In “testing” mode, you will work with demo accounts, and no real money will be transferred.
DocData: User IDThe payment API user ID assigned to you by DocData.
DocData: PasswordThe payment API password given to you by DocData.
DocData: Menu profileIn the DocData back-office, you can create a so-called “profile” with a configuration of your preferred payment methods, and the look of the payment form. Attention: Make sure to select only payment methods that effect an immediate payment.
DocData: Offered MethodsSelect the payment methods which will be offered to your customers. The selected methods must be activated in your contract.

Content

Legal pageThis is the content that the “Legal” page will contain and which will be visible during the booking process. This is a multilingual field, but if you can’t translate the text, you should at least insert the same text for all languages.
Terms of Service pageThis is the content that the “Terms of Service” page will contain and which will be visible during the booking process. This is a multilingual field, but if you can’t translate the text, you should at least insert the same text for all languages.
Online ticket footerA text printed on the bottom of PDF tickets.
E-mail footerA text attached to e-mails sent by Tixys on behalf of your shop.
Bus ticket footerIf you use the BusApp to sell tickets, this text will be printed on the bottom of each ticket.

Appearance

Shop logoAn image that will be seen at the top of the page in your shop’s booking area.
Shop faviconA small icon that is used by browsers for bookmarks and on tabs.
Bus ticket logoA black and white logo to be printed on your BusApp tickets.

External Services

Google Analytics accountA Google Analytics account ID (like UA-12345678-1), which allows tracking your shop with your own Analytics account.
MarketersTixys cooperates with several large search engines and online travel agencies to market your services. Select which marketers you want to give your timetables and prices for an automated import.

Routing

Maximum number of transfersHow often a trip may be continued with a different vehicle to reach the final destination.
Minimum change timeMinimum time in minutes a customer needs to make a transfer.
Maximum wait timeMaximum time in minutes a customer will have to wait during a transfer.
Minimum lead timeHow many minutes before the departure a ticket for a given tour can be booked. Note that this does not apply to system users with administrative or bus driver privileges.
